Officer catches woman using fake baby to drive in high occupancy lane
TORONTO (CP) - A sharp-eyed Ontario Provincial Police officer is being credited with catching a motorist using a fake child to travel in a lane reserved for vehicles carrying two or more people.
The officer, patrolling Highway 404 in the city's north end on Wednesday, caught a glimpse of the bogus tot when a car travelling in the high occupancy vehicle lane slowly passed his cruiser. What appeared to be a baby dressed in a hooded winter jacket was strapped in a child seat in the back of the car.
The hood covered the child's face, but the officer noticed the arms were out stretched with no hands showing.
The driver was stopped and the officer found he was almost fooled by a stuffed jacket.
A 39-year-old woman from Aurora, Ont., is charged with improper use of high-occupancy vehicle lane and faces a $110 fine.
She told the officer that the fake baby trick normally worked, police said.
Seriously, what the fuck are people thinking these days!? Using a fake baby! Now that is low! Even for a canadian aye!source: here

Basketball Days and Radio Nights
Basically we just get on the air and discuss songs that we enjoy, and why and how. Its a great opportunity for me to share with people some music that I love, and at the same time have a bit of a laugh and some fun. I do think we are really crap tho, but it was great
I also spent the morning and afternoon practicing with my basketball team. Our team defence has improved a lot, and our offence isnt bad either. I really think we have a chance at winning on tuesday :) We have another practice on tomorow morning, and am psyched about it!

Spätzle Kochen
was really good! :)
Its just a mixture of flour, salt, eggs and water. Mix it all up into a really goey paste and then kind of slice it into small lines into a pot of boiling water. We then macoroni and cheesed it pretty much, and also had it with some delicious mushroom sauce!
Talk about getting som culture.
The Germans are AWSOME :D

Word of the day: ONEROUS
Adjective
S: (adj) burdensome, onerous, taxing (not easily borne; wearing)e.g. "my duties weren't onerous; I only had to greet the guests"
Magical Number 8
I got to wear the magic number 8 jersey for my team tho! (see below :P)
It just feels like the team wasnt trying as hard as they could. Its one thing if we lose because we lack certain qualities or skill, but it really is another thing if we lose because we lack commitment. In all fairness, we probably would have lost even if we had the commitment, but we would have lost with pride. (so corny i know)but anyways, i feel we have a lot of potential, and i am feeling good about the team.
GO SHOWBOYS!
